Happy New Year to everyone! 2012 is going to be the year I finally get organised, I say that with complete confidence!!

I have a little Birthday card I created using magnolia stamp Congratulations Tilda, coloured her using ProMarkers….

I used Whimsy stamps sentiment set which I cut using my scallop punch. I added the Nellie snellen flower punch and an orange flower with a spotty brad.

Olivia Lucy Baker

I haven’t been able to post for a while due to the small finally arriving, Olivia was born on 13th November weighing 9lb 5oz (ouch!) All is well and she has taken to her role of little sister very well.

I haven’t had much time to make any cards but I have got this little treat for you. I made a Christening card for a friend. I hope you like it. I used Magnolia stamps and a lovely fimo baby I have had for a while, this was the perfect card for it!

No Baby Yet!

I am getting very frustrated at the moment…..our new arrival was due on Saturday but there is no sign and I am getting increasing uncomfortable! I am just about as ready as I can be for the new baby and I think Isobel and Jack are waiting, less patiently now for their little sister to arrive – at least we hope it’s a sister as I have got rid of all the baby boy things!!

Whilst waiting, moving house and working I have been making some cards for a couple of Christmas shopping evenings I will be at.

Merry Christmas Gorjuss Girl

This card is made using the very gorjuss stamp which I bought from my local craft shop, I used my copics to colour her, I love the greens on this card! The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps. I used my Nellie Snellen cuts for the border around the gorjuss girl and then added my own little shrinkie gorjuss girl which has been stamped, coloured with copics and shrunk to make it into a keyring.

Baby Shower!

I have had a lovely but hectic week……Tuesday was a lovely surprise when some friends threw a surprise baby shower for me! I have never had a baby shower before and we had a lot of fun…..played some games drank a couple of glasses of wine and ate far too much cake and chocolate!! It was really nice to spend a bit of time with friends before the crazyness begins!!

Continuing on with the baby theme I have made a baby boy christening card, my stock seems to be running a bit low when it comes to boys! I used the lovely Lili of the Valley – Baby Blanket stamp, which I coloured using mr ProMarkers (I will get around to telling you which ones I used soon – I seem to make them up as I go along at the moment!) I used my nestabilities to cut of the stamp and then distress inked the edges.

I then used a lovely silk flower with a big blue button and charm attached to it and some lovely light blue ribbon with “Christening Day” peel offs added to the ribbon. A little cross was added to the bottom for the religious theme.

We are off the Octoberfest today in Basingstoke for a bit of time with the family, there are a lot of activities for the children so hopefully we will have a good fun-packed day!

Happy Couple Anniversary Card

Happy Sunday morning! I was up really early this morning, thinking about all the things I need to do for the move in less than two weeks now! I am trying to not think about it all by making some cards for the couple of pamper evenings I am doing in November.

I have made this lovely Anniversary card by using a stamp from Penny Johnson – Love Bubbles. I used my ProMarkers to colour in the stamp and then added it to some creamy/brown brazzil card which I have distress inked and then adding My Minds Eye – Lime Twist card to the left hand side of that.

I have some paper flowers left over paper flowers which I have used at the top of the card, adding some gems and a charm to jazz them up a bit! Happy Anniversary peel offs have been added to the card to finish it off.

Autumn Has Arrived!

So the warm weather has come to an end here and this morning Autumn has definitely turned up! When we opened the door for the school run we all grabbed our coats for the walk! So I have a card to show you today which in quite fitting for this weather.
Tilda from the Magnolia collection is sitting on the bench in her autumnal colours. The stamp is Magnolia – Sweetheart Tilda I have coloured her in with the ProMarkers and popped her onto a Magnolia bench.

I have used orange brazzil card for the backing paper and then My Minds Eye Paper Pack – Stella and Rose over the brazzil card. I put a button and charm at the top with some pearls down the green ribbon just to finish off the card. The sentiment reads “Happiness is in the little things”.

It’s A Girl Thing!

I have made a new card today for the Scrap Creations Challenge – It’s A Girl Thing.

I have used a lovely Magnolia birthday stamp which has been coloured using ProMakrers. I then made a cute keyring with the same image using shrinkies frosted plastic and then using the heat tool to srink and harden.

I have added a lovely Whimsy Stamp Birthday Sentment which has been cut and added in 3d effect and some lovely ribbon and paper flowers from my local craft shop.

Red and Brown Challenge!

Well, we have finally (fingers crossed) got someone to rent our house!!! Yippee!! I am so excited although slightly worried that we are moving a week before the baby is due!! Hopefully the baby will stay tucked away until after then!

Whilst all the crazyness continues I have been making a few more card design, one of which I have made for the Little Darlings Challenge – Red and Brown

Happy 6th Birthday!

We has a lovely family day yesterday, Isobel had her horse riding lesson when we went to Finkley Down Farm which was great, Jack enjoyed feeding the goats and stroking the horses.
If you are ever in Andover you should take a visit!

After our family trip I had two 6th Birthday cards to make, once of which I am showing you.
The stamp I used for this card was a “Stamposaurus – Lazy Ellie”I coloured the lazy Ellie in with my ProMarkers. I added a large blue paper flower to the top of the card with a sentiment which I printed on the computer at the bottom.

I also stamped Lazy Ellie onto shrink plastic, coloured her in with the ProMarkers and heated it up to make it shrink and them put the keyring on it! Hopefully the party girl will like her extra treat!

A Star is Born!

I have been working hard the last couple of day! Trying to fit in the general chores of day to day life, helping out on the committee at Jack’s nursery, which I have to say is far more involving than I expected, but enjoyable! And then making time for my card making!!! Oh an trying to move house – that’s always challenging!
But we continue on with this crazy new level of busy and I try to keep my stock up, I have made a few new cards over the last couple of days, annoyingly I seem to have gone off making Christmas cards so hopefully my design flair will come back for those soon as I have a few craft fairs to supply for in October and November!

The card below is a new baby boy card, The backing paper is brazzil with the first editions paper pack, Spring feast attached to the top of that. The stamp is a fabulous stamp from Stamping Bella with the sentiment “A Star is Born”. I have coloured this using my ProMarkers and then distress inked around the edge. I have added some lovely blue, baby feet embossed ribbon and some lovely paper flowers. The charm at the bottom of the card says “Made With Love” which finishes off the card nicely.
